The text is divided into seven parts: the concept of Indian
philosophy, the history of Indian philosophy, the Vedic
period, the Vedas, epic literature, Jainism, Buddhism and
philosophical systems of the brahmanist tradition.
From the first to fourth part the author presents sources
of Indian philosophy. From the fifth to the sixth parts she
gaves a short survey of heterodox systems. In the seventh
chapter fololow orthodox systems.
The work is intended for students interested in the fundaments
of Indian thought. Therefore it is written in introductory
maner.
